I like to light incense before I start painting and I like to look in the mirror or record a video of myself. All of my paintings are about me. I work in oil, charcoal, and pastel;  I depict naked women in the desert deep in thought, often they are crying and often they are covered in blood. I aim to provide discomfort to viewers but also a kinship or fondness towards the figure rendered.
